6th: Art / Creepy Candy - Cryptocurium

Giant Chocolate Cthulhu Idol by Cryptocurium
While perusing the blogs I follow here on Blogger, I came across a post by Haunted Design House that featured some amazing lollipops by Cryptocurium (you can see some of them below).

Deep Ones by Cryptocurium
Their website describes Cryptocurium as:

...a New Jersey based custom artwork, chocolate and candy maker
committed to producing “handmade and edible art” of the highest quality.
Utilizing legends and lore, stories and the  Lovecraft Mythos, CRYPTOCURIUM transforms
the strange and the macabre into limited edition artwork and terrifying treats for your enjoyment.

It makes sense that they're also artists, as each piece of confection - from Cthulhu lollipops to absinthe skulls to edible vampire hunter kits - is an artwork in itself! Many are based on Lovecraftian mythos, but there are also things like chocolate skulls, sacrificial hearts and Vlad the Impaler lollipops too.

Oh, and given the time of year, I should also mention that Cryptocurium produce gummy sweets as well; some with a Halloween theme *hint hint*. If the items they have aren't quite what you're looking for, don't worry! There's an option to contact them about custom work too.

To view (or purchase) more of their beautiful creations - edible or otherwise - you can visit the Cryptocurium website below:

Many thanks to Jason McKittrick of Cryptocurium for permission to use the images.

  1. Those look too good to eat. I'd eat them still of course, but I'd have to make sure I played with them a little for a photo shoot or something. LOL!

    1. They really do! I think it'd be a waste -not- to have a photos hoot with them :D

Or I guess you could always just keep them for a little while in the fridge before eating. Everyone needs a chocolate Cthulhu lurking around their kitchen! Haha
