Type of Creature:
A hominid / primate type of cryptid, similar to Bigfoot / Sasquatch etc.
Locations: Sightings are mainly in and around the Himalayas, in Nepal, Bhutan, Tibet & Sikkim, but also occasionally in other areas of India and China as well.

Scary?:
No, not really. There don't seem to be any reports of Abominable Snowman attacks (as opposed to other cryptids like the Chupacabra, for example) and it's never really done anything to warrant such a malevolent title. To be honest, it's not even scary in movies!
