Horror Movies Featuring the Abominable Snowman:

The Abominable Snowman (1957)
Half Human: The Story of the Abominable Snowman (1958)
Abominable (2006)
Yeti (2007)
Yeti: Curse of the Snow Demon (2008)
Rage of the Yeti (2011)
Refuge (Not yet released)

(If you know of any others, let me know!)

Scary?:
No, not really. There don't seem to be any reports of Abominable Snowman attacks (as opposed to other cryptids like the Chupacabra, for example) and it's never really done anything to warrant such a malevolent title. To be honest, it's not even scary in movies!

Creepy cryptid or cute and cuddly. What do you think?

  1. Love it! A friend of mine wrote a story about a Yeti on the rampage around town. It won 1st prize in a competition and had us all laughing our socks off. It was comedy horror!

That story sounds like great fun! I can't really take yeti-themed horror too seriously anyway, haha.

  4. I'm fascinated by stories about the A-word Snowman. I have a brother in law who hunts in places high up in the Uintah Mountains where no people have ever been. He's got several of these stories. Fascinating!

    Welcome to the Challenge!

    1. It must be fantastic for your brother seeing places that no one else has seen! People are discovering new species all the time, so I don't doubt that he's probably seen a few himself up there.

      Thanks for the welcome :)

  5. Welcome to the A-Z! It's interesting how people come up with this story from all parts of the planet, claiming to see one crossing their yard. Hmmm...

    1. Yes, I agree. Even ancient cultures and modern people who are relatively cut off from the rest of the world (no TV, internet, radio, newspapers etc.) seem to have similarities in their accounts. Maybe the human mind plays tricks in exactly the same way, or maybe they really have seen something.

Anyway, thanks for the comment and the welcome! :)
